"Bedford Central exists to seek Christ first in all things, to glorify God by equipping believers to serve and evangelize through meaningful relationships."

Bedford Central Presbyterian Church exists in order to lead men, women and children to Jesus Christ, thereby becoming a part of God's family.  Our aim is to assist people in ways of growing and maturing so each may serve the world actively sharing their gifts and talents.

No matter where you are in life, Bedford Central Church has a place for you.  You can be the very link in the chain of hope that is continuously expanding as we serve both our present neighborhood and communities around the world.  You are invited and welcomed to become a part of Christ's family as we continue to serve the world. Sermon Summary

Sermon: "Who Is Getting On Your Nerves"
Scripture: Nehemiah 5:1-13
Peacher: Dr. Clive E. Neil

For Nehemiah his problems with the people on the inside of the wall are bigger than those on the outside. His problem is ‘intra conflict’.
Here is how Nehemiah dealt with this conflict:

He empathized with the people. People don’t care what you know until you show you care. He got furious when he heard that his people were committing these wrongs. He listened to their complaints.

He paused before he spoke. He thought about what to do before he acted. He engaged his mind before he engaged his mouth. That is wisdom. Human anger cannot accomplish God’s desire!

He talked to the leaders first instead of making their wrongs public. Don’t gossip but speak first with the person

Make sure you appeal to the best in people. Never try lifting people up by putting them down. Don’t say things like you are just like so and so.

Just to get the food they were willing to sell their children. Nehemiah displayed ‘righteous anger.  Nehemiah took a stand against the elders who profaned the people.

Nehemiah lived with humility and offered generosity. Don’t act as if you are better than others.

Our Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
