Welcome

"Bedford Central exists to seek Christ first in all things, to glorify God by equipping believers to serve and evangelize through meaningful relationships."

Bedford Central Presbyterian Church exists in order to lead men, women, and children to Jesus Christ, thereby becoming a part of God's family.  Our aim is to assist people in ways of growing and maturing so each may serve the world actively sharing their gifts and talents.

No matter where you are in life, Bedford Central Church has a place for you.  You can be the very link in the chain of hope that is continuously expanding as we serve both our present neighborhood and communities around the world.  You are invited and welcomed to become a part of Christ's family as we continue to serve the world.

Sermon Summary

By: Bro. David Goodman

Sunday, May 15, 2022
Sermon: "Gifted With The Power To Perform"
Scripture: Acts 1:1-8
Preacher: Rev. Ennette

What would you do if you had the power to affect the outcome of something?

In fact, we have such power, the real power that comes from on High. It’s given to us as believers by way of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus spoke by way of the Holy Spirit. His was spiritual power, as opposed to speaking by the flesh. The Lord filtered what He said by the way of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus told His disciples to wait for something. It was a promise He had spoken of before. This gift from Jesus was the Holy Spirit. To allow the Holy Spirit to guide us and prevent errors in our daily lives. All promises of God are yes! Most often we dread waiting. We want God to hurry to answer, but most times we have to wait.

The baptism by the water will get you wet, but baptism by the Holy Spirit will ignite you. It will give you power. It will set you free! The gift of the Holy Spirit has gifted us this.

Jesus said ‘greater works will you do…’  Yet it seems we are sitting on our hands. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the World.

We need to open our mouths and tell how good God is towards us.

Our Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
