Welcome

"Bedford Central exists to seek Christ first in all things, to glorify God by equipping believers to serve and evangelize through meaningful relationships."

Bedford Central Presbyterian Church exists in order to lead men, women and children to Jesus Christ, thereby becoming a part of God's family.  Our aim is to assist people in ways of growing and maturing so each may serve the world actively sharing their gifts and talents.

No matter where you are in life, Bedford Central Church has a place for you.  You can be the very link in the chain of hope that is continuously expanding as we serve both our present neighborhood and communities around the world.  You are invited and welcomed to become a part of Christ's family as we continue to serve the world.

Sermon Summary

By: Bro. David Goodman

Sunday, July 18, 2021
Sermon: "During times of trouble..."
Scripture: Psalm 20
Peacher: Dr. Michael Joseph

Our mission is to teach the Bible. Everything here at BCPC is undergirded by the Bible. Over the past 16 months, it has been the Word that has brought us through.

The Psalms speak for us. it provides us with a word to say when we don’t know what to say.  This Psalm is a song where the people of Israel sing and ask God for protection from trouble for the King. To be sure trouble is always around. But this is what we can learn about God during times of trouble.

We serve a prayer answering God. He hears us and He also answers us. We should have confidence in knowing that God answers prayers. ‘Now I know is now I m assured that God is.

We serve a sovereign God. He is always in control, based on God’s track record. David remembers the times God was with him. God has a plan of relief for us. God will always be with you.

We learn that God is a trust-worthy God. God’s answer is always ‘trust me’. In times of trouble the only boasts should be in God. Not in our possessions. The name of God - the character of God,  never changes.

What, then, shall we say in response to these things?  If GOD is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him graciously give us all things?

STEPS: 1. Memorize the verse. 2. On Wednesday's Night Bible Study we will discuss the verse in depth. 3. In September a monetary prize will be given to someone who can recite all 8 verses word for word.

Our Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
