"Bedford Central exists to seek Christ first in all things, to glorify God by equipping believers to serve and evangelize through meaningful relationships."

Bedford Central Presbyterian Church exists in order to lead men, women and children to Jesus Christ, thereby becoming a part of God's family.  Our aim is to assist people in ways of growing and maturing so each may serve the world actively sharing their gifts and talents.

No matter where you are in life, Bedford Central Church has a place for you.  You can be the very link in the chain of hope that is continuously expanding as we serve both our present neighborhood and communities around the world.  You are invited and welcomed to become a part of Christ's family as we continue to serve the world.

Sermon: There Is A Story Behind My Scars

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 11:23-30

Speaker: Dr. Clive E. Neil

Everyone has a scar, whether on their Knees, hands, backs, faces. There is a story behind every scar. Where are your scars Mothers?
Scars are real pain that no one wants to talk about. Even on Mother’s Day, the scar of a lost Mother is a real pain, bringing real tears, causing us to pause, to be silent. But you should not hide your scars. The Church provides evidence that the scars don’t limit your progress. There is a lesson to be learned from the scars you have.  Jesus was at his highest point. He still carried the scars from Good Friday.  Maybe Jesus understood that it is hard to live with your scars.

Here are three reasons to keep in mind that Jesus demonstrated by showing His scars:

You are still here. The disciples thought He was gone. He showed up not as a ghost but as a real person. Don’t trust people who have no scars. Lead out of your pain.

Scars tell a story. Tell people who ask you about your scars where you got your scars from. As a Christian, you cannot live without telling your story. There is a reason why people have scars.

Scars are your testimony. They are not all about you. The disciples saw his scars and were filled with joy. It is for someone else’s reality. It may be the best thing that happened to someone.

Our Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the truth. We show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
